Fashion house Tom Ford announced its latest campaign for Black Orchid Reserve, a new fragrance inspired by the brand’s 2006 classic. The campaign features actress and artist Tilda Swinton.
“It is a profound honor for me to play a part in the history of Tom Ford’s legendary Black Orchid,” Swinton said. “Transformation, the blurring of boundaries and the celebration of magical properties have always drawn me close. Black Orchid Reserve is precisely such an enchantment.”
Tom Ford, under the Estée Lauder Companies portfolio of brands, first launched its Black Orchid eau de parfum in 2006. The new fragrance features the ghost orchid, a rare perennial flower native to Florida and Cuba.
The Black Orchid Reserve campaign will launch on September 1. The campaign was designed by creative director Haider Ackermann and lensed by Inez and Vinoodh. The brand’s press release describes the campaign images and video as “Swinton in fluid motion.”
“It is a portrait of a woman who awakens the world around her through gaze and gesture, stillness and strength,” the press release states. She is as rare as the black orchid, a flower born of the quest for perfection.”
Black Orchid Reserve eau de parfum is available for purchase on Tom Ford’s website.
