British fragrance house Penhaligon’s announced the launch of its latest eau de parfum The Cut. The fragrance was created by Paul Guerlain and takes inspiration from London’s Savile Row.
Savile Row is a world-renowned street in Mayfair, London, and is famous for its men’s tailoring. Penhaligon's press release describes The Cut as a celebration of the tailoring traditions while also “looking at sartorial fashion through a modern, edgier lens.”
“The Cut is the perfect symbol of the growing relationship between fine fragrance and high fashion,” the press release states. “Launching just before London Fashion Week, an event dedicated to the craftsmanship of fashion and design, the fragrance is reflective of the spirit of creativity, innovation and artistry found in all forms of fashion.”
In addition to the new fragrance, Penhaligon’s will also launch a repackaged version of its Sartorial eau de parfum. This scent, inspired by the workrooms of Savile Row, features fragrance notes of cardamom, lavender, vanilla and patchouli.
The Cut is available for purchase at Penhaligon’s boutiques and on the brand’s website.
