I.T.S’s recent flavor trend report points to a major shift toward indulgent food and drink that also deliver functional benefits, as consumers—led by flavor-driven millennials—expect everyday categories to support both physical and mental well-being.

Notably, rising GLP-1 use, social media influence and a growing “chill-out culture” are accelerating demand for nutrient-dense, high-protein, low- and no-alcohol options that feel worth the calories without sacrificing taste.

Key 2026 flavor directions according to the company include crossbreed and hedgerow fruits, sophisticated indulgence, color-led flavors, global tea influences, and bright, sun-soaked tropical profiles.

The Newbury-based company has acquired an 8.2-acre industrial estate with excellent M4 connectivity, committing an initial £10m+ investment to redevelop the existing factory, expand office space, and dramatically scale production. The site, expected to be operational in 12–18 months, will provide 20 times the liquid and powdered flavor capacity of I.T.S’ current Newbury facilities, with scalable production for extracts and compounds—and plenty of room for future growth.

I.T.S, which has been growing at roughly 35% per year, will maintain operations at its existing Newbury sites during the expansion. The move is also set to create new jobs across the Swindon, Marlborough, Hungerford, and Newbury areas.

Bagshaw said: “This investment is a major step forward for I.T.S which began at a kitchen table 16 years ago. Our goal is to become the world’s most-loved flavor house, delivering exceptional flavors and service to our customers. These are exciting times!”

The Hungerford development signals a bold expansion for the independent British brand, reinforcing its commitment to innovation, agility, and scaling responsibly while keeping the company’s hands-on, creative ethos intact.
