5-Methylfurfural
Natural Advantage introduces natural 5-Methylfurfural (FEMA# 2702, CAS# 620-02-0). This product can be used for coffee, roasted nuts, honey, caramel, tobacco and rum. Using 5-Methylfurfural at 0.17ppm, gives a slight spice note almost like cinnamon; this could be used to enhance spice notes. For sweet caramel flavors, try using this product between 10-20ppm. At 20 ppm, 5-Methylfurfural tastes exactly like caramel with a very creamy mouthfeel. Natural 5-Methylfurfural is EU and US Natural, Kosher, vegetarian and Non-GMO.
